The Proposal Comprises of:

  • The retention of the existing house and reprovided parking for it
  • A detailed scheme for 22 new houses, of which at least 50% will be affordable homes for local people, via a nominations agreement with Sevenoaks District Council
  • A significant number of affordable homes will be available for rent
  • All 2 and 3 bedrooms
  • No house taller than 2 storeys
  • Designs likely to comprise traditional elevations with brick, render and tile hanging, and slate or tile roofs
  • Good rear garden amenity
  • At least 2 parking spaces per house
  • Ample visitor parking spaces
  • Minimal tree loss, with around 4 low grade trees proposed to be replaced
  • Improvements to the public right of way that runs within the site
  • No issue with service capacities within the site
  • Formation of a new access to Main Road, discussed with the Local Highway Authority
  • Sustainable measures will include heat pumps and solar panels and electric vehicle charging points
